Nestled in the rolling farmland of south western Frederick county, Maryland is Crown Rose. Built in the pre-Civil War era, Crown Rose is an historic mansion that has been called home by dignitaries and generals. Now, Crown Rose is available on an exclusive and limited basis to host Weddings and High-Profile Events.
Passing through the front gates of this private estate you’ll find a tear shaped drive leading around to the great white columns that front the historic mansion. Surrounding the mansion are
cultivated grounds that are home to other historic buildings and a wide range of trees, plants, flowers and gardens.
One of the highlights of Crown Rose is the oval shaped rose garden. Behind the house you’ll find a smooth hedge enclosed lawn that was host to tennis and shuffleboard matches in an earlier era. Outside of the grounds you’ll find 75 acres of farmland still in use, a great bank barn, pond and a meadow suitable for comfortable walks. And, for the more adventurous, the property includes a dense thicket of woods that can truly take you back to nature.
Crown Rose is located approximately midway along Jefferson Pike (formerly old National Pike) running between Frederick, Maryland and historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and is not far from the Potomac River crossings at Point of Rocks, Maryland and Brunswick, Maryland. Crown Rose offers easy and quick access from Montgomery and Frederick counties in Maryland and Loudoun and Fairfax counties in Virginia
